So everyone is constantly on the search for that perfect bit of gear to have with them. The End all Be all thing that goes everywhere with you, no matter the circumstance – it’s tried and true and will never let you down. I’ve never had an article of reasonably priced clothing that fit that bill. I’ve sported Mountain Khaki pants that will follow me to the edge of the earth, but those are pants – thats not hard to do. When was the last time you found a hoodie, or a T-shirt that will do the same? Built to last, priced to afford, and Made In America?
American Giant is doing just that. A relatively new company, they produce everything from 100% home grown American Cotton, and go the extra mile with every painstaking step to make sure that the product they deliver to the customer, really was the best they can do. Check them out and support MADE IN USA

For the last couple of weeks I have been reading and researching different types of survival kits. There are a couple companies that sell the kits but some of them have a few items missing IMO. I put together this kit in about 20 minutes today. I traveled to Dollar Tree and Dollar General and literally bought everything for under $50 (It was actually about $46). Everything was $1 of less, and some of the things came in packs/bundles.
Towards the end of the second video some of the sound starts to fade out and becomes muffled. Sorry about that. My fingers started to cover the mic on the end of my iPhone. Hope you can hear and understand most of it.
Items that were purchased today at the dollar stores include:
3 Pencil Containers (to hold my smaller items)
Toilet paper (6 pack)
Smart Water (24oz)
Word Find Book
Permanent Markers (2)
14″ Glow Stick
12 boxes of matches (32 matches in each)
Hand sanitizer w/ moisturizer
Fuel cans (2)
4 pack of AA Batteries (2)
Ramen Noodles (5 pack)
Beef Stew and Chili
Vienna Sausages and Tuna
Peanut Butter crackers
13 gallon garbage bags
Individual Lemonade packets
2″x2″ gauze and 3″x3″ gauze patches
100 pack of differently sized band-aids
Hot-Cold pack (2)

Toothpaste and toothbrushes (3 in my kit, got 6 in a pack)
SPF 30 Sun block
Kleenex tissues (6 pack)

All the extra cardboard and paper from the boxes was cut up and put into a bag. That will be used as fire starter and kindling.
Items still to get:
Hope everyone enjoys the videos and info and all opinions and suggestions are appreciated. Every “kit” is specific to the person who owns it. Some may have more and some may have less. It all depends on what is important to you. I can carry all of the above (except for a few items) in a good sized backpack and feel confident that if something does happen I am able to take care of myself for a few days out in the wild.
